MPA 2011 Grand Prize Winner: Indifference By Stefano Pesarelli


Winners of the Mobile Photography Awards. This exhibit will feature 60 printed images: 27 winners plus 15 images from the judges and 18 more chosen by founder Daniel Berman, as well as four slide shows that will highlight even more work. Winners from the Mobile Video Awards will be shown as well.

The awards are partnered with Fotomoto, CanvasPop, and 500px.com as well as 10 of the most popular iPhone photo applications including Filterstorm, FX PhotoStudio, CrossProcess, ShakeItPhoto, ScratchCam, and Juxtaposer.

Entries were judged based on originality, creativity, and adherence to the contest theme. The jury was comprised of 15 of today's most celebrated mobile photographers and includes such widely published and award winning mobile photographers as Aik Beng Chia, Alan Kastner, Robert-Paul Jansen, and Carlein van der Beek.

Emily Rose - Conflict

 

The categories for the competition include such traditional photographic genres as Landscapes, Self-Portraits, and Street Photography as well as uniquely modern areas such as Digital Art and software enhanced Abstractions. Countries represented by the winning artists include the United States, Canada, Italy, the United Kingdom, Malawi, Japan, Hungary, Singapore and Australia, among others.

The Mobile Photo Awards were founded to promote the global phenomenon of mobile, or cell-phone, photography and art and are designed to celebrate the creatives working in the medium. With world-class exhibits, competitions and open gallery calls, the MPA is the world's largest event of it's kind.
