As we enter into a New Year The Orange County Center for Contemporary Art will be entering its 35th year of existence, supported by the spirit of volunteerism, collaboration and community.

It may come as a surprise that no OCCCA director or staff earns a salary. We survive on the support of our members giving their valuable time to this long standing organization, which I often refer to as a giant sandbox.

This 'sandbox' allows us to experiment, and be able to adjust and change as needed, allowing us to collaborate and engage with the community, to be open to new ideas from within and from outside the artist membership (a true democracy). As most are artists with a day-job it is our goal in the near future to be able to have a modest income to compensate for giving so much of our time, but that is not why we do what we do, its a passion and an honor to provide unique programing and provocative exhibitions to our community and yourself!

We have big plans for the coming year
and beyond as a unique Art Center

We have collaborated with many other organizations & Groups,
including UCI, JPL, VAALA, CASA, NAMI, SolArt Radio
