FAQ

What is the best way to get in touch with OCCCA? We haven't been able to reach anyone by phone.

Because we are an all-volunteer organization it is sometimes difficult to keep up with the demands of the gallery. The best way to reach us is through our Facebook page. Message us through our Facebook page and you should receive a response within 24 hours. https://www.facebook.com/OrangeCountyCenterforContemporaryArt/

We would like to enter OCCCA's Call for Art - what is the process?

OCCCA uses EntryThingy, an online service for submitting artwork to Calls for Art. You can read more about the process here: https://www.entrythingy.com/faq.html A good step-by-step introduction is also posted on the GutfreundCornettArt website: http://www.gutfreundcornettart.com/how-to-use-entrythingy.html

What is OCCCA's policy regarding insuring art pieces?

Artists are welcome to obtain there own insurance for their work. The gallery cannot afford to cover individual work, as price points can range from a few hundred to several thousand and the onus is on the artist to justify their price point based on their selling history for insurance purposes.

I have artwork that isn't my own. May I submit this piece to OCCCA?

Submitted artwork is generally created by, and submitted by, the artists themselves. The rights to show another's work may be unclear and because of this we would not be able to accept the artwork.

How many pieces are usually chosen for exhibition?

We display between 40-60 works.
